چکیده

Inconel®718 is a well-known nickel-based super-alloy used for high-temperature applications after thermomechanical processes followed by heat treatments. This work describes the evolution of microstructure and stresses during hot deformation prototype alloy named IN718WP produced powder metallurgy with similar chemical composition to matrix Inconel®718. Compression tests were performed simulator Gleeble®3800 in temperature range from 900 1025 °C, strain rates scaled 0.001 10 s−1. Flow curves showed features those The relative stress softening was comparable standard highest rates. Hot Ductility Loss in a Fe-Ni-Based Superalloy

High temperature tensile tests have been conducted on samples of a Fe-Ni based superalloy, Incoloy A-286, and significant ductility loss has been observed at 1220 °C. Titanium-rich, thin-film-like phase has been found on the inter-granular facets of fracture surfaces. It appears that sulfur content of Ti-rich phase was higher than that of the matrix. At 1220 °C, liquation of Ti-rich phases has ...

Hot Deformation Behavior of Ni80A Superalloy During Non-Isothermal Side Pressing

In the present study, the microstructural changes of a Nickel based superalloy Nimonic80A during a non-isothermal deformation were studied. Therefore, microstructure evolutionduring hot side pressing test was predicted with combined methods of finite element analysis andprocessing map of the material. The predicted results were validated through experimentalmicrostructural studies. The results ...

Deformation compatibility in a single crystalline Ni superalloy

Deformation in materials is often complex and requires rigorous understanding to predict engineering component lifetime. Experimental understanding of deformation requires utilization of advanced characterization techniques, such as high spatial resolution digital image correlation (HR-DIC) and high angular resolution electron backscatter diffraction (HR-EBSD), combined with clear interpretatio...

Prediction of the Hot Compressive Deformation Behavior for Superalloy Nimonic 80A by BP-ANN Model

Abstract: In order to predict hot deformation behavior of superalloy nimonic 80A, a back-propagational artificial neural network (BP-ANN) and strain-dependent Arrhenius-type model were established based on the experimental data from isothermal compression tests on a Gleeble-3500 thermo-mechanical simulator at temperatures ranging of 1050–1250 ̋C, strain rates ranging of 0.01–10.0 s ́1. A comparis...
